I just did mine today, it looks sweet i think :D
I think it matches really well with the black honeycomb colour
All i did was sanded the chrome with wet sand paper, gave it a good clean, did 3 coats of Septone branded Acrylic Black Satin and got these results

Yea with removing the grille, i removed it completely, then the chrome bits i removed and sprayed them seperately :)

I still have the after market sports grill that i wasnt too keen on once i put it on. Anyone interested? Fits MY04-MY06 liberty GT

it was a very easy process i highly recommend it for anyone who dont like chrome!
