Pirelli rosso's

just a quick Q for all the 07 STI owners (or whoever else has had them) but how do your rossos stick? i've only had one experience with pirellis (admittedly not rossos or zeros) and it wasn't great. since then i've had 2 sets or short tread eagle F1's but discovered with my potenzas that good grip needn't mean mucho road noise and very few k's. i've always believed that 2 things you shouldn't go cheap on is tyres and shoes because both will stuff up you day if they aren't good.

I've had quite a bit of experience with the P Zero Rossos' as I have had various HSV sedans which came with them as standard and both the 06 and 07 variants of the STi Liberty.

I've never had any issues with the P Zeros on any of the cars, the roadholding and braking on either wet or dry roads was always predictable and consistant. I never had cause to complain about the grip levels, and I suspect if they did ever let you down, you would be going way, way too fast for the road / conditions / corner or whatever anyway.

Although there are always better tyres available at a price, the P Zero Rossos' are excellent, not cheap, but anything better will cost you big time.

I got em on my06 sti, I like em.
Have gone dorifto a few times, but yeah... might have ben going bit fast.
When I need to replace, most likely I will keep the Rosso aysms as road.

Yet to give them a real hard workout but so far have been impressed with their grip in wet and dry conditions.

How much would each tyre cost compared with the current stock bridgestones etc?

Found the stock ones to be pretty ok.

Only personally had bad experience with ContiSports, great for the first 5,000 and then it just went shot and was pretty unsafe in the wet weather.

Last year was curious and rang coupla places, cheapest quote I got was 650 a corner, ranged up to 800ish.
Prob be cheaper if i seriously hunted it.

From the 3000 odd kms ive done on these tyres ive found them to be pretty sticky in the wet & dry. Im yet to really push it but im happy with em so far.

Last year was curious and rang coupla places, cheapest quote I got was 650 a corner, ranged up to 800ish.
Prob be cheaper if i seriously hunted it.
