Obviously its extra bracing :P but is this a common mod & would it have a big impact on handling or am i totally off track with the handling guess?

Hmmm... i don't see how this brace would do anything at all... its at the rear of the car and looks like all it does is tie up the two main chassis rails.

I really don't see how the chassis rails would flex/move enough to need bracing there - i mean, you have the whole boot floor-pan holding it together, plus the bumper reinforcements, etc.

just my thoughts :)

having a look under my b spec there is already a brace there, and the holes he is telling you to drill are already taken by the bracket that holds the brace. i should say that i let windows translate the page, but you have to read between the lines because it doesnt translate chinese or japanese to well. maybe the standard cars dont have any kind of bracing at all. the cross brace that is there looks like it could be aluminium. it is a channel or a tube shape ,cant see the 4th side to know which, but it is about 100mm by 60mm maybe a bit less anchored to those 2 holes and the third stud by a round tube with a plate at each end .one end bolts where his does and the other to the channel. cant tell how heavy the guage of the tube is.maybe if they have put one there it must help but like sway bars you can always make it stronger. he gives a breif explanation as to how easy it is and as i said he is telling you to drill those holes he is pointing to 9mm ,which is about the sise of the bolts already in there. they look like M8. he is asking 12500 yen whatever that is.the hardest part about making it would be paying $90 for a lefthanded tap for the cross tube
