I've been wanting telescopic adjustment for a long time. Short of replacing the steering column with one from a facelift model and whatever else it may need, I have found this writeup on installing an aftermarket hub/spacer:

Now, the question is does anyone know what aftermarket product would suit the purpose? I'm not particular interested in the Rapfix II as I don't need fancy quick release. I just want something about 1.0-1.5" or so in fixed distance.

Likewise, I would be interested in finding an answer to this problem.
