hey trendsetters.. i wasnt sure what folder to put this one in, so sorry ric if i screwed up..

but the ol girl, even tho its not that old is starting to blow a discomforting amount of smoke. (black smoke too, not the oily white smoke) mainly on start up, and when i put the boot into it. its very recently been serviced, and that was really the only idea i had, that it was due.

anyone else able to suggest something that i could do, or recognise what its doing, something, anything!!

If its black smoke, then is sounds like its running a little rich.

They may have re-set the ecu during service, and now its running a little richer.

it was doing it pre service too.. and i thought that the service would just clear it up and they may sort out any ecu probs..

so you suggest just getting them to check the ecu and tune the computer?

Are you running an aftermaket comp?

My car runs rich, esp after I have put the intake and zorst on.

its stock, cept for the cannons on the back

stock my06 2.5i

I would say its just running a little rich.

You could ask subaru to re-set the ecu (or do it yourself)

And then see how you go.
