Hi Guys,

It seems that the forum has slowed down in the past month or so.

I understand we all live very busy lives and that I actually do stuff at work so I cant post whore like I used to at my old job.

Lets all pitch in your ideas on how to pump the life back into the forum. We are definately having new members sign up still.

Ric, Sorry couldnt post in admin section as it was only for Mods.

Phil.

with so few members - and only a handful are actually actively posting - it is always hard to get the forum jump'n jump'n..........i guess some of the more active forums i regular tend to have alot more members - one way to increase your forum exposure is to put a link to the site in your sig on other forums, have cards and stickers, or even get some exposure on car related sites.....................i am having the same problem with my new forum (ozhothatches.com), but i have tried alot of different things to get the forum jump'n jump'n, but none have seem to work so far - that is why i am concentrating on getting more members - through getting stickers and cards made up and having associations with other sites..........in the mean time, if i discover any brilliant plan that makes members post more, i will promptly report it  ...............................also, i guess in some ways, forums also thrive with postwhores - amongst all the shit they post, there is often a few good points and topics that are borught up

can we have car care section whilst on the topic of trying to get more interest in the forum? :D

Cheers,
Brendan

I feel that this forum is probally a bit more umm whats the word... umm Less Crappy than some others?
It is an objective to get the forum pumping with lots of new threads and stuff to read, but the importance is also to maintain good conversation and remain informative and remove some of the absolute rubbish spam that occurs in others forums - you just don't get anything out of reading their threads.
I would also have to say its probally a little more difficult with a liberty forum, due to the "type" of car that it is....
Thats just my opinion - but yes still would like some more informative stuff to read.

ive seen a few people, well met up with a few anyway, and pointed them in the direction of the forum, and they seem to be no shows.. i would happily slap a sticker on my car to try and promote it, and i would happily drink out of a stubby cooler with a piccy and the site name on it.. keyrings, but i guess all that costs money hey. ha ha.. damn it.. either way, i promote it as much as i can.

and does everyone from the old forums know where to find us? i notice a few that pop in tend to say that it took a while to find us, but there seems to be a lot of memeber, just everyone seems shy...

come on everyone. wake up!!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

This will certainly help. I'm trying to work things out with Ric to hopefully gain more exposure.

Well yes, most things sound great but they do require financial support.

Maybe we can start with donations from those who wish to try and get this club going.

sticker runs etc wouldn't be very expensive ..........something simple like liberty.asn.au about 15 cm long will cost about 5 bucks..............

this is an example (and i am not trying to promote my site here   )........the design is simple enough and easily seen by other people......its 15cm long :D .............i got this from the UK and that only cost me about 5-6 bucks i think...........

you could perhaps get people to pay first before undertaking a run, thereby ensuring you are not out of pockets to start off with

and Franky does make a good point (surprisingly  ), that it is the type of car that dominates this forum

Very interesting Phil I'm on a few professional forums + fishing and photography forums . All 7 that I visit are on the down slide :( My observation and talking to others on the sites is that they are board and its time to get a life So I think these forums have had their day and people are moving on .

Still keep this domain name.. but it's a bit of a hand full when i comes to seeing it on a sticker..

I can get domain names cheap.. so yeah.. let's think of some? and make this baby happen..

Heaps of people used to ask me about the old one.. now there nothing to ask becasue it aint exist lol :(

So something a bit more simple would be goods to...

What you all think? :?:

Got a domain name already. Just in the process of getting it rolling.

Also stickers will be in the new easier Club name.

Well to your point BUDDAH, people do move on as you can see i dont whore like i used to on here, But theres still new owners out there looking for a group that share the common interest and needs help from liberty owners like ourselves.

The intention will be to make it a more active CLUB, hopefully.

Phil.
