Alloy wheel repairs - Melb

Postby hawkeye » Fri Mar 09, 2007 8:12 am

Has anyone had the need to have their alloys 'touched up'?

Mine have scrape marks courtesy of previous owners and I'd like to have them repaired.

Any good places in Melbourne?

A haven't used them for alloys, just old spoked wheels, but "Neway Wheel Repairs" in Heidelberg West are meant to be very good.

There's only one place to go.

Advanced Alloy Wheel Repairs.

They are insane.

Hey SpecB,

I hope by insane you mean they do fantastic work??

I will try to call into Advanced tomorrow (if they are open) to have a chat.

I spoke to Neway today and was quoted $130 + GST per wheel. This includes any repair, respray to colour of your choice, remove and refit tyres and a wheel balance. Takes about 2 to 3 days to complete the job.

I'll decide which one I'll go to after my chat with Advanced.

Stay tuned....
Cheers....Hawkeye

Advanced may be more expensive but they are the best by far. You can't tell the difference at all. I've seen other places do repairs but you can see what they've done if you look a bit closer.
