MY06 - MY07 Front bars

Hey Trendsetters,

Just a somewhat quick one for you all..

The front bumper on the car, (MY06 2.5i) has a very hideous looking scratch on it from someone who lacks the ability to park, plus another annoymous scratch from a still unidentified culprit that makes the left hand side of the car look rather ordinary..

I got quotes to get it resprayed\fixed, from several guys and i found nothing under the 500-600 dollar mark.

I did, well am pondering, just throwing the old bumper, and starting from scratch (no pun inteded) with a new one, and i thought, and hoped that a MY07 bumper would fit straight on...

The reason i say this, as of course i dont want to go the insuarance route, cause my excess is a hell of a lot more than any quote i have received to get it resprayed and fixed up. And the quotes i have received from numerous businesses from all round brissy and the goldy and im not having much luck.

Now the car is leased, so it would be well within my rights to get either the repair or the replacement on the fleet card that my car runs on and just submit the paperwork and all be good, but i just thought i would suss out my options first..

I guess what im asking is

1. will the MY07 bumper fit on? kinda like the look of it... ha ha

2. if so what are they worth?

3. and if there is a supplier that anyone knows of that would accept my fleet card as payment.

I guess if it had to come from interstate that the transport costs would be covered with the card also...

or of course if anyone else has any other suggestions, im more than happy to hear them..

The 07 bumpers will not fit straight on to a pre 07.

You will need the new headlights, grill and the fenders too...

I thought i read that PhatGT could get fibreglass imitation INGS front bumpers made up and painted for approx. $800??

I wouldn't have gone the STi front lip route if I'd read his post earlier..

you might want to check with him
