Commodores hate the wet! ;)

I saw two Commodores with bent bonnets this morning.
One did a 180 on the Monash freeway, outbound just after Chapel St, straight into the concrete wall.
Another at the start of Fentree Gully Rd in Oakleigh, straight into a power pole outside the car dealer there.

It's this rare stuff called "rain" they can't handle. I bet those guys wish they were driving Libertys now...

Hmmm Guess I'm gonna have to get used to this....

Although its always funny to see ppl acting like tools get whats coming to them....

Don't be too quick to judge...I've seen a V8 sedan break traction in 1st, 2nd and 3rd in dead dry conditions......granted he had a 30psi blower strapped to the engine but still

And don't think I'm defending ppl who drive like tools on wet freeways...as I said...always good to see complete knobs get whats coming for them!

As much as I miss the commy....God Damn I love the Liberty!

The good old commodores are fun for a while but you really do have to nurse them in the wet.. Especially with the LSD & fat tyres on the rear.. I learnt that the hard way as a teenager growing up.. Nothing too serious.. Just a little costly when living of a students budget.. Having the option to pick your mode is cool thou.. I have a 80’s landcruiser Ute over here in the jungle, some days I like to get a bit loose & hang the tail out on the dirt roads while in RWD other days if I am in a hurry or the terrain is too vertical I use 4WD.. It completely changes the way you can drive the car..

Having said that, I am glad I grew up driving RWD cars (commodores) & having a bit of fun in them.. If I grew up driving a liberty I would just expect all cars to handle that well in the wet.. And that could be a dangerous thing.. Its good to know through experience that liberty’s (and other AWD cars) are the exception and not the norm..
