Hey guys, there was talk a while back that Serg from John French was opening another shop, does anyone know if this has happened and if so, where? I'm due for a service and would much prefer him to do it than some pimple face Subaru apprentice...

The premises for his new shop didn't work out, but he is currently working on other arrangements.

In the meantime, he is working on customer cars in another workshop on a casual basis. Don't worry, you deal directly with Serge and only he touches your car. The other guys just supply a hoist, but they seem okay.

If Balaclava St was convenient for you, you'll have no problems getting to this place. I highly recommend the $10 steak across the road if you need to kill some time.

He doesn't have the facility to do wheel alignments at all where he is working at the moment, but he had my car a few weeks ago and where ever he sent it for the alignment, I'd happily have it go back to.

That sounds overly trusting to those who don't know him, but Serge is the only mechanic I've ever dealt with that I just throw the keys to and know the car is safer than if it were sitting in my own garage (and particularly safer than in my driveway).
