Find paint code from VIN?

Postby Ironman » Thu Dec 22, 2022 1:49 pm

Hey all, I've just come into ownership of a dark blue 07 GTB and I'm curious what the paint code is. My assumption is 35J, but it looks a little darker than that.

I'm told that this can be found on the passenger side strut tower, but that plate is missing for whatever reason (I'm not sure what other info is on that plate, hopefully nothing important).

Is there any other way to check the paint code? There's nothing on either door jam either.

Thanks

I use a site specific search, this one on lgt forum, when I need my memory jogged: your paint code might be listed on the door jamb sticker or you might get it from searching your vin code on a vin decoder site:

https://www.google.com.au/search?q=site ... s-wiz-serp

So the first hit in the link has info related ;)

If no hits on lgt I revert to google site search on lib club: link in my signature.
I bookmark these links on my phone browser favourites so I can sort my recall from facts.

Yeah I've looked through the LGT forums and here as well. I'm 80% sure it's 35J regal blue pearl, it's just I have no way of confirming and there are a few fairly similar colors.

Defintely nothing in the door jams, that was the first thing I checked.

Put you VIN into PartSoug and hit the "I" button.
Your paint code details will be included.

I’m going to try that since I did use Partsouq but didn’t see the “i” button.

Maybe on a pc? No I button on iOS safari webpage…

Thanks guys, for some reason the first few vin decoders I googled has no luck, but both of your suggestions worked (on desktop).

Confirmation of 35J regal blue pearl.

Much appreciated.
