Hey All,

We all have those dreams of finding a "Barn Find" and it has finally come true. Unfortunately the dream is not as good as it sounds. Through a friend, he has purchased a house and they left a Liberty there, and he has offered it too me.

I haven't had a chance to look at this frank-n-car to see if it even has an engine, but could anyone out there potentially identify year as the rear bumper looks like a gray import so my suspicions are that it is just a plain old liberty with a sticker kit and a bonnet scoop.

Be awesome for those that live and breath liberty's to direct me to some info.

Hey mate,

That is a late 91 to early 94 facelift legacy rs turbo. Being a legacy it is either an import or it was built from a donor car. With the tow sticker it was possibly race registered only, so that is one thing to check out. If you're lucky, it is an Aus delivered liberty and someone has just done a trim swap on the boot as some people preferred the legacy version.

The ol RS turbos are harder to find these days in good nick and are a solid platform. It was my dream car back in my early years! There is a RS Liberty club that was the beginning of enthusiast liberty owners in Aus. Forum is still around but not sure how active: http://www.rslibertyclub.org/forums/

Keep us in the loop on what you find out about it and it’s condition!
