Post face mirrors to Preface liberty

I am after some information about the wiring some Post face side mirrors onto a Pre face liberty. Now the post face has 5 pins and the Preface has 6. I have been searching online about what pin does what and the only information I can find is on the post face, I think.
To my understanding both mirrors have 8 pins. Libs with 10 Pins have the heating function.

Post face has the;
Green (Negative, Pin 1)
White (Positive, Pin 4)
Red (Up/Down, Pin 6)
Purple (Left/Right, Pin 7)
Blue (unsure, says common, Pin 3)

Pre face has;
Green (Negative, Pin 1)
White (Positive, Pin 4)
Pink (Unsure, Pin 6)
Purple (Unsure, Pin 7)
Blue (Unsure, Pin 8 )
Red (unsure, Pin 3)

To my understanding Pins 2 and 3 are for folding and are not used in both Pre and Post. I also have a feeling that the same colour pins on the Pre and Post face do the same thing. So the Preface Red Pin would do the same as the Post Face Pin. So I would assume that I place the colour of the Post Face Pins into where the Pre Face Pins are located. However I am left with 1 Pin short which is the odd Pink Pin. I have read that 2 Pins on the Post Face might be connected but I cannot confirm because I cannot find the site.
Can anyone provide me with which Pin goes where and what I need to do about the 6th Pink Pin on the preface.

I also found this, however, I think it was from the 2013 to 2015 wrx, I kind of deleted the tab and got like a 0.5 sec view of the title. So I am not 100% certain. This changed my thinking and problem solving. Part of me is thinking that Pins 7 and 6 are in the same spot.

I found this about JDM folding mirrors and go into detail about which wire does what. It says that the blue and red wire (Pin 3 and 8 ) are a power wire for the left/ right up/down function. It states that connecting them together with the use of a solder iron fixes that.
So I would assume I disconnect pins 3 and 8 from the Preface harness thingo and solder them together and plug them in?
Can anyone confirm that for me?

You can find iirc, audm and or general eu market pre and postfl FSM’s, and the jdm manuals.

The pinouts are in the wiring sections.

However, if you’re doing a folding mirror conversion, once you’ve got the appropriate pinouts and plugs arranged for stock operation, getting fold is as simple as running a 2 core wire from both mirrors to the jdm fold switch.

You can do it by converting the mirror plug to 8pin and extending the fold wires into the mirror loom, trimming the 10 pin plug to fit the 8 pin, or run a conversion harness in the door loom if you have eg the door side 10pin plug as well.
