Just get coil overs and be done with it.. You can have all sorts of height and stiffness options as well you don't have to change your sway bars , get Whiteline end links etc etc .. Coilovers are a one time suspension solution !

Please don't cut your springs. It's dangerous and the ride quality will be shite.

To answer the "how low do I go" question, you need to let us know what your preference is for your ride. How much driveability are you willing to sacrifice (i.e. kerb scraping, ride harshness etc.)? Is it for looks or performance? Are you chasing a "stance"?

These answers can also determine what the suspension setup needs to consist of to achieve your goals.

As an example, I dropped my GT by ~35mm and I would say it is about as low as you can go without causing excessive headaches with kerbs, driveways and speed bumps. I still have to be mindful to avoid damage though.

No damage unless I miss judge a kerb in a parking lot!

Wheel scrubbing depends mainly on the overall width and offset of your rims. I run 225/45/18 on a +40 18x8 rim and I have no issues with scrub and I didn't have to run negative camber or roll guards.

Shockworks do not recommend reset springs, I’d use whatever lib tragic has or similar^^^.
He’s a discerning chap.

Yep: MCA’s:

Btw I just put a set of Koni adjustable dampers on rallitek springs in modified kyb struts (I didn’t do the mods btw, diy’s online) in our 2.5i gen4... Very nice!

If you want to stay stock for reasons, find decent lowering springs and get these when your dampers are done. Any brand aftermarket spring will do, just eyeball the spring rates and amount of lows so they’re street able.

Apparently this mod works for GenV kyb’s too, I just gotta dig up the source post :good:

Interested in how this works out, eg if the ride is still the same after resetting.
