The bearings are starting to go on a gt im looking at buying whats it worth to get something like that rebuilt or is it worth getting a new one? I'm on a limited budget so im not really in the position to buy a whiz bang low k car so im trying to find out what is fixable and what to stay away from in my search for my new car I dont mind having to fix a few things over time as i intend to keep it for a long time

I’m in the exact same boat, I’ve heard the stock VF38 turbo was designed poorly and blows up very easily I can’t find anyone that will rebuilt / put new turbo in for a decent price, I don’t know if I should upgrade turbos or it another turbo would just bolt straight on (that isn’t the VF38) let me know if you have found a solution
