Oil problems lmao

Postby hanjralibertyyy » Thu Oct 03, 2019 6:39 pm

My 3rd gen liberty is having engine oil problems, burning or leaking oil at a catastrophic rate. for example, 2-4 days ago, i topped it up with oil, as i noticed some leaks on my driveway, reading gave me 3 quarters. checked it again today, its now less than half. however, due to the oil leaking, i started parking on a flatter area, flat enough it can stay there without being in gear or handbrake on, and there is no oil stains on the ground there. i dont know if its a leak now, or its burning. when it first started having problems, my main suspicion was the rear main seal, but after parking it on the flat, and there being no leaks at all, im not too sure.

Basically, i have no idea whats wrong. anyone else had this experience?

Did you look underneath? Checked that oil filter is on properly?

Worth getting it on a hoist, and getting a fire extinguisher!

I've just removed the spammy post, and all the comments about it.
