I am in Adelaide
how much would it cost to repair the viscous coupling or replace and How do I go about getting the job done
the car is currently under the dealer warranty..who happens to be in Sydney
just to add to the complexity

What are the pros and cons of getting a new or a recond unit?
One Mechanic said to me they have never done an install on a Suby before, but were comfortable they could do it once the instructions were included?????
quoted all up about 2500.00 dollars for new with install ...whereas AMPL said about 1200.00 for a recond unit all up
The question is new or recond unit...money is not an option........performance and longevity is.

replaced the central diff coupling unit with a recond unit from Corgiwerks and seems ok...no more clunking with uturns.
I was getting a mild tremor through the seats and steering wheel when driving steady, almost gliding at about 50 km/h and more, and noticed that this still exists after
the diff repair. It is hardly noticable unless you are familiar with Subarus and wondering if any one has any opinion.
straight line driving is not an issue as it tracks true.....not wobbly, simply a tremor/vibration...
mechanic who did diff repair says the suspension looks ok and the tyre tread is good..although inside passenger tyre has minor rubber tear, but very small next to where a balancer placed a lead balance.
I have a picture of it on my phone.
If it is tyre I cannot just change one and do not want 4 new tyres to find its not rubber issue
