Buying a used/modified Liberty

Postby gtButterz » Mon Dec 04, 2017 8:42 pm

Hi all, just wanted to see if I could get some opinions from people on here regarding a new car I'm looking at. I currently own a MY07 Liberty gt spec b sedan, however I've found a gt spec b manual wagon with low kms. It has just under 50,000 kms and has the following mods, TBE, MSR Tune and Exedy Sports clutch. It has service history with MSR and seems very clean.

The car is interstate, and I've never purchased modified cars in the past. With such low kms and modifications been done by a reputable company should I feel so cautious? I know there is always a bit of risk with ANY used cars, but just wanted to get some opinions!

Thanks in advance :D

I would check how much boost it has been running and get a compression test done. Nothing wrong with modified cars as long as the modifications have been done well and regular maintenance of the car carried out according to schedule.

With the mods you mentioned, I would focus more on what the tune looks like if anything. Good luck!

Coming from MSR, it should be well sorted and reliably tuned :good:
