Should I buy - Liberty 3.0R - B (355,000kms but low price)

So I am soon to be on my P's in Victoria and am looking for a manual Impreza or liberty but would prefer a liberty. I would love a 3.0R and have been searching for one in my price bracket (extreme maximum of $10,000) with about 100,000-200,000 kms. Recently I inspected a 2004 liberty wagon 3.0R B-spec with 355,000kms for around $4000, I am wondering whether I should buy it, hold out a while for the possibility of a better deal or just get a 2.5. Also, if I were to buy it, what should I be looking for as a sign of large work to be done soon meaning high expenses?

I can't believe it got up to that many km without already havin the engine replaced or at least a top end rebuild with new headgaskets.

Worth seeing if there are receipts for such work.

If you take it for a good test drive and things seem ok, well you are at least leaving yourself a good margin to fix any major underlying issue.

Also if you're keen on the H6, don't settle for the 2.5i.

Low ball them $2k then save/spend the rest on repairs.

My 2006 3.0RB has done 250,000 km. The engine's fine, I did have to have the centre diff replaced two years ago.
