Its not that bad... Seriously...

The first episode was pretty crappy, but it has gotten better & better since.

Go see some of the original episodes of the UK Top Gear, it was seriously pretty ordinary.

As usual, some of the tests / stunts that they do are pretty stupid, but aside from the fact the UK has more of a budget, its still all along the same lines of stupidity & IMO are a waste of time... But they are very entertaining :D

At least when they do car tests they are actually testing cars that can be bought in Australia, therefore we can relate to them etc.

People have set such a high standard for it because of the UK version, which is much more developed, has higher budgets & has just been around for a lot longer... Give our version a bit more time & it'll get even better :D

& before anyone says that it is a "rip off" of the UK version... It's because its still controlled by the bloody BBC! :P

imo i think they should just scrap the set and the layout, and completely revamp the thing, i think it would work alot better if it wasnt an exact clone of the UK version, make it more aussie and a bit more rough and i think it would go alot better in our audiences.

+ 1 to all that.

But like I said, it is still controlled by BBC internation, thus why its the way it is / looks.

Yeah, that Charlie guy isn't much chop... Mainly because he's a Pom if I'm not mistaken :P ... Ex F1 commentator... :?:

That main presenter shits me BIG TIME...

Two things that annoy me..correction many things

His arms flayling (my version of spelling the word) everywhere annoys me the most..he can't control himself just watch his arms and you'll know what I mean. I can't concentrate on what he says cause of his stupid arms.

He's got lame lines always trying to over aussiefy a term..something along the lines of "like galah croking"..or like a Kangaroo hopping". Trying too hard to make it the "aussie version" of Top Gear.

He screams into the microphone with his arms flayling of course and doesn't understand that the microphone is righ in front of him.

All format is such a carbon copy of the UK one that no thought has gone into the aussie series. It's rubbish though slightly less rubbish than the first show.

I just can't watch the flayling arms anymore :russian_roulette:

for the guys who didn't watch last week, todays episode includes the rex versus helicopter segment, should be entertaining, plus we get an aussie perspective of the car. Check it out :) Good to see some subie flare on the show :P Hopefully they review a lib in the near distance future (waiting to that moment!!)

It will also be interesting to see how hard they push the limits of the Tiger ARH.. hopefully they will get it to do some loop-to-loops - pretty impressive to see a chopper doing a maneouvre like that :D

*maybe some target practice might improve the look of the WRX? *

I think they're getting better. They don't sem to be trying so hard now (except for the old guy... name???) It's better than no decent Aussie car shows at all on FTA TV.
