Hey guys, i am thinking of purchasing Teins mono flex for my liberty gt sti 2005. I am hopeing to get some feedback from anyone on the site who has already fitted them, on how they perform and where to purchase them from.

As far as the performance there great much better handling than stock

I love the full adjustability the most, where you can adjust every the height spring pre-load & shocks all independent of each other.
the only down side is IMO they are a little on the firm side but that can be fixed easily with softer springs.
From memory the stock springs for a wagon are 5 & 7kg & the Teins are 8kg. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

just installed a set of these which i scored from the Phatman and my honest opinion is WOWW!! massive improvement all around over the stock sussy..
- handling is greatly improved
- car looks the goods cause it sits at a much nicer level
- comfort has improved a touch because you dont get that massive body roll when you accelerate and brake therefore eliminating that boat type feel, except when you hit a big pot hole the car bottoms out sooner but hey just steer around those and you will be fine.. :wink:

- also did i mention the handling is 1000 times better hehe
- Installation is p**s easy too :lol:

As of this week with the exchange rate, Phat told me it's about $2,500 AUD for a set. Ouch.

Sounds like they'll do the job for me. Ive been quoted up to $4500 for the teins mono flex. What a joke!

I can't be for certain, but I think the ones that Phat orders for our Libs is the Tein Type Flex. I've also read there's the Tein Mono Flex as well, which is more expensive than the Type Flex.

mono flex has stiffer springs as well as different valving in them.

thanks guys for your help. Just purchased a set of teins type flex. Fitting them tommorow, but i beleive the bump stops need to be cut and some modifications need to be done in order to fit the rear coilovers. is this right?...

Ahhhh yes & no.... you only need to cut the bump stops if you want the car as low as mine

in other words have the rears wound all the way down to there lowest setting, but as far as any other mods NO !!!
Just make sure its a quality workshop who installs them

Good purchase, Tein Coilovers are so so good.
