Aussie dollar... Oh no!!

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

Aussie dollar... Oh no!!

I was trying to use the aussie dollar dropping for bargaining purposes...

I can't imagine that many ppl buying cars with the way the economy is travelling, but yeah... I do hope our dollar doesn't drop any more then it already has.

Anyone care to predict if it will stay, increase or drop again?

Yeah mate I hear ya! it's not good! an also our AU$ with the JAP$ ain't good either, friking everything's gone up!

Not sure what it's doing hey? might go up a little.. but I reckon that the interest rate will drop one for time, not 1% but it will drop before chrissy an one early next year in the first 4 mths of the new year, an then houses will slowly go up.. USA will hit hard for a recession, an Oma will get in! :)

I hope and pray the AU$ drops to 50c Im a exporter       bring it on

I predict it will bottom a 65c after all the cash has been taken out by O/S company's who were using Aust as a safe haven The AU$ was over priced for a long time due to OS funds been dumped here.

I predict next weeks lotto will be 3 11 7 21 33 17

The money market I think Trieu is not the issue in itself but the perception of peoples confidence.
People that have money are still spending, in my business no change at the moment, nor do I expect to be a change for me, but for those people in the used car market it has got to be having an effect, I reckon car dealers are going to be very hungry for a deal over the next month
Motor show says that 8 manufacturers have pulled out of displaying this year, I cant see a great spike in new sales which normally occurs 2-3 weeks afterthe show and they will have to move cars at any price to pay the bills as turnover is the be all and end all
Ask Suff and Scooby what its like to sell at the moment
If I were you son , seeing you need a car .. I would go very very hard Take no prisoners

I was watching lateline business last night and they were talking to the head of westpac or NAB, and from his comments, it doesn't seem they will pass on the full relief if another cut was to occur due to the outlook they have for the credit market and the uncertainty in there atm, so i guess that could be an indicator for other banks

The AUD took another dive overnight with the Yen @ $0.64. The markets are pricing in further rate reductions by the RBA prior to Xmas, so things may very well get worse.

The handbrake & I are in Japan in 3 weeks for a fortnight. Fortunately we bought some Yen earlier when the X rates were much, much better.

Looking forward to seeing some wild Subies :D :D :D
