Salespersons... ARGH!

Yesterday popped down to a local dealer to look at a Liberty.... chatted on the phone and arranged everything, almost the car I want but the price and the colour were still bugging me abit.

Anyways... it's a wagon and the mould between the rear windscreen and the plastic panel was loose. I mentioned it to the sales person and he said... "ahh it's nothing" fair enough for me but then he continued on pulling and pushing it back into place, until eventually the mould pretty much became detached from the car!

I was like... WTF? He could have waited till I left to do it. Not right in front of me. Regardless to say I walked and said thank you.

Anyone out there know if this is easy to fix?

You should take a dump in the middle of their showroom floor before walking out.

Mate, Don't buy till it's all done up right and proper! Be glad that you are aware of things like that, prior to purchase.........

I wash there was some way of buying a new car without having to pay useless car salesmen a large chunk of your hard earned dollars.. If they want to make a sale, they should earn their money.. If you rate them as useless but you still want to buy the car they should have to come around and mow your lawn for a few months or something..

Not all salespeople are bad cause I am certain some are very nice, but just this particular guy.

I just wish some other guy had picked up the phone, cause now I think I have to deal with him if I end up buying from there.

I'd hate to switch salespeople, dunno what the outcome might be.....

Ring and ask to speak to the dealer principal, explain what happened and say still interested in the car but not with that salesman, sure whoever you get will honour whatever promised or go better, and if they say you deal with the original dropkick,would you really want to buy a car from them??

i was a nice salesperson.

i had a customer once that didnt want to deal with the first salesperson he spoke to at the dealership, and he came back in with a big trench coat, hat and glasses so they wouldnt recognise him. hahaha

your the customer... therefore you can choose whom ever you want to do the deal with..

get tough....and if he pushes the point speak to the dealer principal..

Agree totally here. Tell the principal that his employee's actions might have just cost him a sale and you're more than happy to take your $30K odd somwhere else unless you can deal with someone who isn't a tool.
