Last year I went to Wholesale Suspenion out in Penrith for a wheel alignment (in part due to Trieu's recommendation).

Once the work was done, on the way out one of the guys asked if he could take a picture of my car for their photo album. "Err, ok."
So here I am browsing through the Annual 2008 issue of
Hot 4's magazine, looking at latest in chrome wheels when I come across an ad for Wholesale on page 167. Hey, that car looks familiar .... what the?

Arith mate, go and ask them for royalties.
Speak to Fair Trading, about them "using" the images without your consent.
You might be able to pay for some more mods for your car. (If you can do any more)
It's a bit rough using it as THE main picture for promoting their company.

geez... that is poor form. I would be getting in touch with them and asking them to explain!? they shouldve got in touch with you and asked for your consent - its kinda misleading given that all they did to your car was a wheel alignment

I actually saw that awhile ago Jim. I thought it was your car!
I was going to post something about it, but I seconded guessed myself & thought "Na, I'd better not, maybe he doesn't want to bring any attention to it etc".
Seriously mate, although I would be over the moon to see my car in a magazine, if they didn't have your permission, I'd be getting a little ticked off...

Thanks for the support guys. Guess I'll talk with Wholesale to see what can be done. I guess this one off is okay, as I'm not too terribly upset about it. Guess I just have to make sure they don't repeat it, because they didn't do anything to my car so I don't endorse them in any way! That credit goes to IS Motors and Phat.

Just do what I do.....
Leave your car
Filthy when you take it anywhere to get anything done. They won't bother then

Mate I would be major pissed off!
That ad is more than implying that all the work to make your car like that was thier work!
The expertise comes from you Phat and Indy!
Payment for unauthorized endorsement, or referral to relevent consumer organisation
BTW cant believe they didnt photoshop the wheels into chromies, would look so much better! Ill take em off yours hands ...if you insist!

if that was me i would be kind of chuffed.. they like the the car they use it.. and i would be pretty stoked..
I dont see a problem with them using it TBH as its not as if its the way the car looks now.. its a Lib Sti with Eye lids and Grill... Now the car looks hot..
CnV used my car for nearly 2 years in thier adds and didnt tell me but i didnt care as it shows that my car was worthy..
Arith, i would take it as a compliment mate, its small in the scheme of things
