Could someone please tell me the best place to get a workshop manual for my 2005 Liberty 3.0R-B?

The MY2004 Factory Service Manual covers the basic international Liberty
Included are 2.0 and 2.5 H4SO engines; 2.0 H4DOTC engines and the H6 engines; plus 5MT and 4AT and 5AT
The 6MT is not covered.

The North American MY2009 Factory Service Manual covers the LHD vehicles with 2.5 H4SO VVL engines; 2.5 H4DOTC and H6 engines; plus 5MT and 4AT and 5AT AND the 6MT.

In my travels, I have not seen any other manuals in the interweb free space?

The MY2004 Factory Service Manual are stored here
http://www.subaru-car.ru/leg4/leg4_gen.pdf
This is the link to the General Information section of the Factory Service Manual

You need to know syntax for the names of the various files to gain access to the remainder of the Factory Service Manual
The other sections are all there, I have just checked.
You just need to know the naming syntax.

Here are the file names.
You need to change the name of the pdf file you wish to access to the names listed below to access each of the pdf files separately.

Thanks for your help Billy, Buddah, & db1.
Decided to try the CD from 'enviroguy' on ebay.
Only $11.90, so worth a go

I thought that I might have saved you the money?
Anyway, I bought my very first Subaru FSM off from ebay too, many years ago. It was for a Gen3.
Then I learned (and taught myself) how to track down archived Factory Service Manuals stored on various parts of the interweb. Hence the files stored on the http://www.subaru-car.ru site in Russia.
There are also Impreza and Forester FSM files stored there, however you need to know the filing syntax used in the file system to access these other Subaru manuals. (Something I had to teach myself)

One advantage of the CD solution is the links within the PDF file should still be active, whereas the links on the interweb files have all been broken.
Enjoy your manual.
Let us know whether it is the international version (LHD and RHD) or whether it is the North American Version (LHD and North American VIN)?

Click on the 2nd last link in that thread which is a Google site search of sli.net, with keyword "FSM".
Reason being they keep changing the url....
