New TOB is noisy?!?

Me and a friend recently converted my 04 BL Liberty from a dualmass fly wheel to a single mass with a new clutch kit and bearings etc. About a week later the throw out bearing has started making a squeeling noise which is louder than the previous throw out bearing. Can someone help? I thought they are pre packed with grease inside and didn't require any but we might have been wrong...

Anybody? Could it be a bearing in the gearbox? As soon as I put my foot down on the clutch 10mm the noise goes away so I was thinking it's the throw out.

I have used two Exedy kits with no noise issues?

One was a Single Mass Flywheel conversion on an MY02 Outback and the other was a clutch kit for an MY09 Flex-Flywheel clutch.
Both kits were for 2.5 N/A engines with push type throw out bearings.
As I said, no issues were experienced.

There is a spring inside the slave cylinder in the 5MT Non-Turbo models which keeps the slave cylinder extended and keeps the throw out bearing lightly in contact with the fingers of the diaphragm spring.
The throw out bearings are pre-lubricated, and the Exedy kit contains a small tube of pink grease to apply on the splines of the gearbox input shaft.

Yeah we applied grease to the needed areas and my kit wasn't a exceedy conversion I'll have to double check what it was again. I think it's the pin on the slave not applying enough pressure to keep the fork just sitting on the TOB. How would you get the pin sitting right? Would I need a new slave or can you mess around with the old one?

So it seems no make that noise in between where the slave pin contacts the fork. Maybe all I can do is put lithium grease between the pin and fork. There doesn't seem to be any form of adjustment for the slave pin or fork.

Greased the pivot point on the fork and the noise is gone.

Question?
Didn't you apply grease to the pivot ball and to the slave cylinder rod while you were changing the clutch?

Is there a spring between the slave and the fork to keep pressure on the slave pin? I don't know your model, but I have seen people leave a spring off there and it can be noisy :?:

Like I said, I don't know if your model has one or not... but worth looking into :)
