Just thought I should inform the people who were kind enough to offer me advice, that I did buy the car.
My wife loves it (it's her car), and I can't believe how smooth and free revving the 3.0 boxer is.
Now all I have to do is convince my wife to pay for a few subtle mods.

I have the prototype pre production 2005 03/05 Subaru liberty 30R spec B... I have all the paperwork and matching numbers.
