Enjoying my new beast!

Hey guys,

I hope every one is getting ready for the festive season!
I recently purchased my lovely new beast from lammel here on the forum, I gotta say what a car... it still has the new car smell! It quickly threw up a cat deficiency code but a quick tune sorted that out and I'm getting an extra 20 kw.
I just finished polishing her and she looks the biz I will throw up a couple of photos as soon as they upload!

It's quite nice getting a nod from the fellow liberty owners who I've seen so far, and even the odd chat with a couple of very enthusiastic wrexy owners!

So far I've taken it to Eastern Creek for a few spirited laps and the handling is just sublime she also made light work of the 800km round trip to Temora for the Warbird festival.

I can see why every one loves these cars so much it just puts a smile on my face every time I drive it!

Nice work. Definitely go the bigger turbo once you get used to its current power now that the motor is customized.

Wow, there's easily 100kw on the table with the right turbo and fuelling setup.

I'm hoping I don't get too drunk with power :alcoholic:

I'll probably run a little more conservative than that as its my daily driver. Any suggestions on fuelling And turbo combo's??Was hoping to take it to Phat for advice (as he has built it) but it's a little hard to get out to the creek for me, only because of work reasons.

Yeah it's bizarre to have done cams and kept the stock turbo and only making 166kw.

I'd find out what the limits of those pistons and rods are and put on a bigger turbo/fuel system - should be good for another 100-150kw as Matt said. And make sure you look after the L19 studs, they don't like water.

Very pretty lib! :bb: :ok:

So I've started doing a bit of digging and came up with a blouch LGT-380XT thinking this might do the trick!!

In terms of fueling what would I be looking at to upgrade... Fuel Pump, lines and injectors.?

And if anyone has ideas for upgrading the cooling please let me know! I'm undecided as to stay top mount or go front mount I would like it to still look stock...My mate is running a process west top mounting his wrexy and he is good for 240kw Or so?

Too small.

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mv ... y_Code=SUB That would really bring it to life - although there's plenty of other options. The 380XT is a small upgrade from stock.

Fuel pump /injectors is easy - grab a 340LPH (if going e85) or a 265 (if going 98) in the form of a DW300c/DW65c or a kobe motorsports pump, and a set of ID1000s. Add a sard FPR, and your stock lines and rails will be fine (replace it where it needs it when you install the injectors though).

PW top mount will do you perfectly well, and is easy to install, or you can go front mount - front mount will be cheaper, but more expensive/difficult to install, so it's a trade off.
