Postby 541NTT » Mon Aug 04, 2008 1:46 pm

hi guys,

quick question i couldnt find in a search, can i change the settings on the trip computer in MY04 gt liberty? at the moment it shows consumption as KLM per Liter, i want it to read liters per 100 KLMS like every other car ive driven, is it possible?

You can't change it sadly (From what I understand). Talk to Tangcla, he hates the fact it can't read L/100kms :P .

They changed it to L/100kms in the MY05's onwards.

Yes I'm annoyed that the ECU says km/L instead of L/100km :P

I was told by my tuner that he can do it with a different ECU flashing cable. I'm waiting to see if he can do it or not.

I will probably get it tuned before he gets the cable. I'm not too fussed about it, just practice working out reciprocals and arithmetic :P

Yes the panel is the same between the two. It's a configuration error, apparently it can't be changed by Subaru.

Dam so that means my car is really using more fuel then I think.

1 kilometer / l = 100 l/100km

So, mines using just under 11l/100km, too high?

Ah cool, and you're non-turbo yeh?

I don't mind too much, people worry too much about what is potentially a few dollars difference at the pump. But I'm more concerned that somethings wrong if its using more fuel, not about it for economy reasons.

But if yours is around that too then I'm not too worried :)

Same here, those figures equal conservative driving. If I was interested in economy then I would have bought another Civic like my wifes.
