Does anyone know whether you can buy the bulb covers which go at the back of the headlights? I'm thinking about getting HID conversion, but the car is leased and need to be able to return it to stock at the end of the lease. I don't want to buy complete headlight assemblies, just the grey covers that go at the back.

On the occasions I've rung Subaru regarding other parts, they always seem to want the VIN of the car even when I tell them what model I want the part for.

if they want the vin, simply give it to them. Or if you dont. Just find a similar model liberty and copy down their rego and VIN. might look abit sus but.

I think a company called ClearGuard make them.

Are you talking about the plastic twist caps that cover up the opening at the back? Why, are you planning to drill a hole in it to let the wires pass through?

I highly doubt anyone will be checking the conditions of those caps at the end of the lease return. Only that they are there and the headlights are clean and working.

But you can buy those rubber grommets from an auto store which plugs the hole up, and in effect, provides the protection against dirt and water from getting inside the headlight assembly. Otherwise those recyclers or salvage yards should have spares you can get for cheap.

I might have to look at wreckers. I can't find anywhere online that suggests where I could get them.

This item is too specific. Unless you can find a spare set at the auto wreckers, you'll probably need the dealership's help. Otherwise try to get the part number and then search for the part number.
