I put on a new Kobe motorsport inlet, MAF hose, and throttle body hose, as well as putting in an oil/air seperator.

Car looks like this now ( didn't take a pic when I put the IC back on:

But when I turn it on, it sounds terrible, makes huge amounts of smoke, and sometimes stalls.

It was dark and I was tired and shitty, so I'll have another go at it tomorrow morning and maybe do some data loggine.

I actually had the similar problem, might just be a vacuum leak. Because I forgot to plug one of the vacuum lines in.

Mine was actually the vacuum line from the blow off valve to the engine.

Would sound terrible and almost stall out.

it was that originally, I fixed it, and now it doesn't stall, it's just fucked. I'll have another look at all the lines and everything in the morning.

Just to confirm,
I attached hose here

Fed it across to the other side, and T'd it to the other side,

This one runs back to a T close to the catch can

like this:

then into the intake:

You can also see the cap on the PCV normal intake, as it's not used.

I also pulled out the airbox and discovered the resonator was already removed, so I covered up the hole, but I can't see that having any effect.

I tried removing the piping to the catch can and blocking off that intake, but it made no difference.

Is your maf facing the correct way?

Also - is that blue t piece connected to your inlet manifold vacuum nipple on passenger side? If so, what did you do with the vacuum hose to your fuel regulator?

The throttle body hose didn't sit right with the stupid intercooler. It was open at the bottom, which I couldn't see clearly in the dark. Refit, trim the hose a bit and all is well.

Not yet, but there's still time! Plus she doesn't care enough to know what most of them are called.
"Pass me the ratchet"
"the what?"
"The long thingy with the square bit poking out"
"oh why didn't you say!"

On the contrary!
As I always say:
If it's not broken, fix it 'til it is!
