Gen4 Liberty GT, premium vs non-premium? differences?

Hey guys,

Just chasing a list of the differences between a premium and non premium Gen 4 Liberty GT sedan.

I currently have an automatic with leather interior.

Premium I think came with the Premium Mackintosh stereo, sunroof, VDC (vehicle dynamics control), possibly different dash?

For my05 there was no premium, gt got all the premium bits std.

Don't think this is true, at least for facelift.

I think all GT Premium's came with VDC whereas non-premiums didn't. I believe that is the only difference.

Sunroof was standard across all turbos and sixes as was MacIntosh's and dash.

Ah ok. Fair enough, I though there was a base range GT as well as a premium version.

I just did my research on redbook.com.au and found:

2004 had GT and GT Premium

• Cloth vs Leather seats
• electric drivers seat
• mcIntosh 13 speaker vs standard 6 speaker
• bunch of airbags
• sunroof

2005 - 2009 just GT, had all the premium features

Premium is not mentioned again until MY10, gen 5 when all GTs are called 'Premium'

I believe this is all correct. Some of you guys mentioned VDC... I don't think any pre-fl Liberties had VDC. Mine certainly doesn't, and it's a MY05 which was built at the end of 2004. I'm pretty sure it's one of the first GTs after they were consolidated to all be premium.

Mine which is the 07 Post FL model does have the VDC. Had this confirmed by Subaru HQ. Not sure how this is better though.

Post-FLs got VDC as far as I'm aware, but only MY09s got switchable VDC (I have a button).

I have a button on the dash just above my right knee to toggle VDC
2007 built MY08 3.0RB
It also has Aux in in the centre console, rear aircon vents, and electric passenger seat

VDC should be above your left knee.

AUX is an option, rear aircon vents and electric passenger seat are Spec B features.

I dunno anymore re: Premium and Non-Premium for facelift. I thought VDC was the only feature different, but if they all have it then maybe Premium wasn't even a thing...

Can confirm pre-fl auto libertys have VDC (mine just triggered for a sec on hill stop-start) as I rolled backward with light throttle. MY05 GT PREM, end of 2004 too.
