interesting.... great find.

love this comment on that forum.

Curious. Mine is a Jan 08 build, but where do you find the number they refer to there - GT-B from 222958 onwards or 2008/02/04 on? Only have a 6 digit number at the end of the vin, and it starts with a zero.

At this stage it only applies to LHD vehicles delivered in the USA.

I asked the sales guy at docklands about it. havent seen that he says an hour or so ago. just got an email to say he has now seen the note, and suggests I check with service to see if my car is a possibility.....He did say all the 2.5T engines come out of Japan though.
Update - service called me back - dont know sh!t so far. 16:45
Update - called back at 17:30 - my car is in the sequence. It starts ( last 6 digits of VIN) from 068148 - mine is 068737. Advice - keep your ears open for engine noises.......

Good on you Subaru.

A stop sale was issued with then 2007 turbo liberty after one stalled on a roundabout. The issue was a small piece of cable/lead or something like that.

Other companies should follow suit and stop leaving things to get ugly then issue a recall.

Now I will probably need a knocking noise in my headrests to get them fixed under warranty!

Well if things don't work out, at least you'll have one of the greatest garage sales ever!
