MIRROR TINT

Anyone know where abouts in sydney that do mirror tint? Like that faded look?

i know up here they can do it at most tint shops. just check out your local tint place. but im not a huge fan of that kinda tint.

It looks tacky and cheap and I know that HWY will drill you for it, whereas normal tint they don't really care.

every man to there own and personal on the right color car looks fantastic and as long as you stay above legal levels police dont say a thing. Lads have you seen it on a liberty because mine looks alot better than standard black and so does kevlers

Mirror tint is illegal, black isn't.

mirror tint isnt illegal, there is a set limt that is on it just like black, i got mine from subura when i bought the car and they wouldnt even be selling it if it was.

Unless its that polarised very minimal mirror tint that a lot of cars have.

If you have proper mirror tint is one thing, having another tint that is reflective and shiny and you want to call mirror is another.

Smiley, I think what you're referring to is the metallic tint.

You can choose from between 2 standard types when you get the windows tinted: smoke and metallic.

The smoke tint is darker at the same percentage, while the metallic has that reflective quality because it uses a more durable and longer lasting film. But yes, the metallic does reflect back a bit (like the mirror tint) in certain lighting conditions (ie- cloudy days).

But there are aftermarket tint film that is even more reflective and mirror like, and I think that's what ScoobyGT is referring to as being illegal.
