Hi Guys,

Just a thought - there're quite a no of car manufacturers/models avaliable in Aus let alone affordable 2nd hand exotics.

Why do you guys choose to drive & luv the Liberty.

I wanted something AWD, fun to drive (i.e. turbo) and luxurious - it was really the Subaru Liberty GT, or the Audi A4 1.8T Quattro.

I also thought about the Mitsubishi Galant VR4, but they are hard to come by with leather - also, I didn't want the hassle of dealing with an import, trying to source bits for it if anything went wrong...

i was given the option of a brand new 40k car, im on my p's no turbo or SC, and the liberty looks sexy.

I have always liked medium sized cars and started with a 94 accord vti-s. Back in 2004 one of my relatives bought a n/a 2.5 liberty. I decided to take it for a drive and ended up buying one myself. I don't know why but i just fell in love with it. After a few years i had an incident at a car park where someone completely smashed into my car (while i was parked and in the shops) and decided to do a runner. Once the car was fixed it just never felt the same again. So i went on the hunt for a new car, after test driving the others (mps, accord euro, evo IX.) i decided to go to subaru and try out a liberty GT. The second i took that car for a test drive everything just clicked. I'm not sure if it was brand loyalty or all the awesome memories that i had with my previous liberty, but after that test drive, well.... Here i am!

Coming out of a Forester GT i still wanted something that was a wagon, had a moon roof and had plenty of performance and handling out of the box, the Liberty GT ticked all the boxes!

I couldn't wait for the Passat R36.

Initially got the Subie WRX for the snow... being AWD it was safer then a RWD/FWD.

Then wife said the long drive was too uncomfortable so upgraded to a Liberty, still wanted the performance so ended up with a GT Never looks backed.

Drives to Perisher/Thredbo are now so much more enjoyable in the Lib. From the seats to the sound system... makes the drive alot shorter.

Looking for a new marketing slogan for Subaru moatchiu are you? Well this IS a cost effective customer satisfaction survey!

Why? The Liberty's got it all! Performance, (power, torque and traction) blended with luxury (leather and all the trimmings) along with style and engineering refinement! It's just as comfortable carting the family around, towing the camper trailer or putting in a few laps on track day!

Just as importantly it's different to what the typical Aussie goes for... but is affordable (although that's getting worse)!

Hi Deucer, I can assure that I'm not working for Subaru. But I wish I was though.

Like Resonate, I just felt in love with the car. Around this time last year, I was early to collect the Impreza from servicing and ended up nosing around the showroom. The Legacy was the car that stood out with the right curves & all the luxury bits. Didn't really paid much attention to it till there was a roadshow at a shopping center couple of months later. Ended up signing on the dotted line within 30mins right there. This is the 1st car I bought without even going for a test drive. No regrets.

You are here for the same reasons we are.... having said that if someone from Subaru was to read this, they'd have a months worth of customer satisfaction surveys done for them ...(well almost).

its my fav car for its price range. has everything a modern car buyer looks for. well at least for someone like me. quality, safety, great looks, great engine, good re-sale, stylish but not too showy, comfortable, great features. just wish i could have gotten a GT
its just a great car.

i just did 1000 ks in 3 days,the performance,comfort level and drive experiance was second to none.i will certanly by another subaru
i have driven a lot of differnt cars but none as good and consistant as the liberty.

owned a wrx , still own a STI...& the liberty

find they are bulletproof if you look after them & dont push the boundaries of modding.

safe, awd, great re-sale and good looking models
