hi all

just wondering if anyone has checked the accessories brochure online at the japan subaru website?

http://www.subaru.jp/accessory/legacy/acc/index.html

there's an automatic shift boot accessory for the MY07/MY08 if you select the sixth bullet point from the index page on the left you will get there...

what's everyone's thoughts on that??[/url]

Meh. Why try to look like a manual when you can just get the manual to start with? I dunno. I think it's one of those mods where you try to fool
people into thinking it's manual, until you put it into Drive like an auto, the passengers may just start laughing at you.

Plus I know all the 'manual only' fanatics on here would go into an angry frenzy.

Yeah Arith does make a valid point. The manual boys will come after you with pitch forks :) . But hey, if you really want it then it's ultimately your decision.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound harsh or rude. I'm just giving a possible scenario on what others might think. If you do decide to go through with it though, you might want to change the shift knob to a manual looking one as well to complete the look.

The reason i would only get it is..

To stop the dust getting inside the crevices.. because im really a clean fanatic and when i do clean my car, i get my dustbuster with a small nozel with a brush to clean the gunk out..

the end..

definitely not to imitate being a manual....

and the same reason as markii.....

I just can't stand dust and crap ..... I would pull the console apart just so i can get rid of the dust and crap in the crevices

doesn't tangcla have one from zerosports??

I agree as well, my old Forester used to shit me no end with the crap that got caught under the shifter so I would definitely consider one of these - the main thing stopping me is the price these go for - $100+ bucks that can be spent elsewhere.

I have no shame in driving an 'auto', show me a non converted manual 04 GT that I would be attempting to mimic.

no?

Darkwatch had the Zero Sports boot though. I thought it looked a bit ghey. He definitely made it look like a manual, complete with the STi small ball shift knob.

How much is that thing? I wonder if it fits the pre-facelift... I wouldn't mind it... if it's not too expensive... looks classier than the stock one, too!

edit: I had a look through the pre-facelift Subaru Japan accessories catalog and I didn't see anything like that... :(

I would love to buy an 04GT in manual, but it only came in Auto, so meh...I will go and start crying ......again

Thread Re-Opened markii, get off your bum and go get a paint brush and use it's bristles to get the crumbs and dirt from the cracks.
And stop eating in your car and doing god knows what else :blush2: in there to stop the crumbs and other gunk in there to start with.
