Any have a list of paint codes for current cars please? Can you get it out of the VIN? There is no code visible anywhere on the compliance plate, or the service manual.
tks

The info is not on the compliance plate, it's on a separate plate usually stuck on one of the front turrets. If you can't find it; 1. Google it. 2. Ring up your local dealer.

It's not on the VIN, but it is shown on the bottom left corner of the plate showing the VIN on the left hand strut tower.

Mine is "36J", which is "Pearl White".

Thanks Resonate, but where did you get it please?
FWIW my VIN plate is on the RH strut tower. Also, why do the last few plates I have seen have some sort of overspray or funny satin clear stuff over half the plate? Sort of looks like salt corrosion ?

Reading everyone's posts made me decide to go look at where i could locate my paint code.. and to my astonishment i too had difficulty finding the code... still am having difficulty!! my compliance plate is on the right strut tower and is the only visible plate..

I have a plate on each tower.
The RH tower is just a compliance plate, with only the VIN
The LH tower has a larger plate with the other codes also.
It looks a lot like this:

There should hopefully be another plate on the passenger side strut tower that will say your colour code under the vin number. The plate on the driver side tower will only mention the vin.

EDIT: Ric beat me to it.

the passenger side strut has no plate at all!!

seems to be missing quite a bit of information compared to the plate resonate has displayed..

Strange.
I have another plate with the VIN on it, mounted down the bottom of the B pillar on the passenger side. You can see it when you open the front passenger door.
There's space for another on the driver's side, but nothing there on my car.
