Sounds like 'same old, same old' to me. they must have had some bits left over from the last batch, even the price is the same!

So the tuned by STi really isn't a 'limited edition' run as such...

MF! They are throwing in the STi sill plates for this run. :angry2: They cut so many corners and left out so much on the MY07 STi when compared to the JDM version.

Heh-heh. Limited run. Just another marketing gimick at best. Though I wouldn't mind a STi in that gun metal colour.

Could be that "Sports Suspension Package" they mentioned. But it wouldn't surprise me if they went with some Korean knock-offs called Brembi's or something.

No need to speculate on the brakes as we have already seen in previous threads that this model will run the black sti badged brembos as per the new Impreza sti.

Shame it comes in white now :( I would have loved a white one.

If this is the case, these are a huge bargain!

Some will know that I have added Brembos, STi wheels and springs to my spec B and has cost me about what Subaru asks for these STi specials. Plus alot of headaches.

And now you can have white! :suicide:

At the Melbourne auto show, they labelled the car as a "2.5GT Spec B. Prototype" to be released in April 08! Don't they know what to do with the cars?

They are just selling STi bling (sills and seat badges) and brembo bakes. The interior was blacked out at the show

4 speed auto and 5 speed manual.

STi tuned, what? It's a rip off at starting price of $65,990.

WTF? One can get the GT Spec B over there for like $35k.

But $65k is also the Australian price. I highly suspect that since they didn't bother to convert kw to HP or torque from nM to pounders/inch, they left the price in Australian as well.

Because with the car market there being so highly competitive, there is no way anyone would pay over $40k for a Subaru no matter what features it has.

Man, I would never buy a STi! Too pricey!

4 speed auto? Looking at the photo of the spec sheet doesn't it say "5 speed sportshift automatic" under the Engine and Transmission section?

Interesting to see that it has rear air vents. My MY04 Liberty doesn't have this. Is this new in the 'prototype' or has it been added to the Liberty since MY04?
