I've tried searching through the forum but couldn't find how this whole Team <Insert Name> got started.

I see teams like Team Black, Team White, Team Tein, Team Diabetes, etc. Being a newbie, I'm curious on how it all came about. Is there a leader for each team? Do you request to join a team or are people in one by default due to their colour or mod?
