HIDs Flickering

Postby LIBIDO » Tue Jan 29, 2008 12:14 pm

Hi guys,

My HIDs began flickering when switched on...shortly after that my passenger side headlight went out altogether....but after switching it on and off a few times, the passenger headlight would come back on and then go back out after a few minutes.

Am i likely looking at replacing a ballast or a bulb?

Anyone know if there is a quick fix to this at all or experiencing the same symptoms?

I must have a tough one cause the headlight that made contact with the Roo was smashed to bits but the HID bulb was still in tact and working on the replacement headlight :)

My cheapo kits are flickering (as stated above) and also got some battery acid on another one, which is partially eating thru the wiring.

I'm deciding between two cheapo kits, or two expensive Philips kits...

Anyone who bought kits throught my group buy:

the kits come with a 1 yr warranty, so if a globe or ballast is blown, it should be replaced for free.

btw, it sounds like it's your ballast, not globe... try switching globes over and see if same one is flickering.
