What do you think is the best polish?

I am using Meguiers NXT which I think is really good but does anybody know of a better polish that I could use.

Want as close to showroom shine as possible.

I used to think that Meguiars was the best.

Yes it is ok, but mass produced for the mass market as well.

I know a fair few people who use Zaino and Poorboys and IMO they are the shit and far superior to Meguiars.

Getting a pro Zaino polish done soon.

Expensive but the results are great.

I also use I think it''s the Z6 - Leather in a bottle .....beautiful stuff.

mothers, meguirs , autoglym are the best imo

I like the meguires for ease of use and the autoglym is nice too. Next time I do the Lib I will completely de wax it and give it the clay bar treatment first up.

Zaino FTW, although process can be a bit tedious if you're not into detailing as such. There's a few others, quite a few others actually - Brendan225s should be able to elaborate.

It's worth getting it done by a pro the first time round, and then use a spray on wax such as Optimum Car Wax, which has a carnuba in it as well, to top-up/maintain the finish. I've got swissvax onyx on mine, and I top it off with OCW after every 2nd wash.

ooo Zymol esp concours .. but I heard from a person in the trade that zymol is getting hard to source as the distributor was having some problems. But definately, a nice option.

Bought stuff from these guys before, good value, the big microfibre towel to dry the car after you wash is FARKING amazing.

I used to think the synthetic chamois were good, but this is so much better. I swear it will cut your drying time by two thirds.

+1 .. I've been using a chamois since the age of 7 when the old man used to get me to help with washing the cars.. used a waffle weave towel for the first time a few weeks ago and what a difference! It helps having a decent wax on the car as well though, as hardly any water remains on the surface anyway. But definately recommend the WWDT if you haven't got one already!

That is correct, from what I heard as well.

Sorry for the rant, but it the best product.

As for wax... I use Meguiars NXTG (I think that is what it is called) easy to put on and the synthetic wax lasts abit longer then a carnuba wax, although the best shine I have experienced is via a carnuba wax.

I wax my car frequently so the paint is clean and smooth, makes it easier to maintane. Some of my mates user Poorboys and X something... can't remember, I am no pro detailer but the results from what I can see are very similar, so I am happy using the K-Mart brands

Email/MSN me for what you need to know Clarence. I bought mine from Final Inspection in brunswick, same price as waxit but no postage. It was an aquatouch as well.
