+1 .. I've been using a chamois since the age of 7 when the old man used to get me to help with washing the cars.. used a waffle weave towel for the first time a few weeks ago and what a difference! It helps having a decent wax on the car as well though, as hardly any water remains on the surface anyway. But definately recommend the WWDT if you haven't got one already!

Sorry for the rant, but it the best product.
As for wax... I use Meguiars NXTG (I think that is what it is called) easy to put on and the synthetic wax lasts abit longer then a carnuba wax, although the best shine I have experienced is via a carnuba wax.
I wax my car frequently so the paint is clean and smooth, makes it easier to maintane. Some of my mates user Poorboys and X something... can't remember, I am no pro detailer but the results from what I can see are very similar, so I am happy using the K-Mart brands
