I have installed a pod in my 07 GT SpecB and it goes heaps better.

Only downside is that you can hear the sucking noise when you accelerate and I dont know if I can get used to it.

Has anybody else installed a pod and are you happy with it?

I've sat in the other guys car's here in syd pre MY07 with pods. A bit too loud for my liking, so i stuck with the HKS panel filter replacement.

if it goes better and the expense of a bit more induction noise then no big deal but if you are like me you may just want to go to HKS panel filter as suggested previously here.

I read somewhere that the pod filter makes the car run rough when they get wet. Does anybody know whether this is true or not. Havent really driven in decent rain to know yet.

I have driven in pissing down rain, hot, cold everything.

There is no reason it should be affected by water.

had it for a year and no dramas.

Thanks Skooby, another question are they actualy legal to have on the car?

I dont particularly want to have an illegal mod on the car.

Must say though it makes a fair bit of difference to the preformance, would'nt you agree?

Well as from previous post, it depends on the states. NSW needs pods to be in an enclosed box.

In NSW ANY car can be defected whether it's "legal" or not. It's up to the owner to prove the car is legal. Even with engineers papers it can be defected. Even a totally stock car can be defected.

The majority of why most people are defected are a) Attitude or b) heaps of defects.

Yes my car has defects, atmo BOV, exhaust, suspension, boost gauge on dash, cold air blah blah, but who really cares.

I don't go cruising to the "hot" spots as much these days and I have a good attitude.

But as with anything, some people have extreme tastes, now I have a more subtle approach which makes me less likely to come under adverse attention.

they dont like getting wet...

a lot of people learnt the hard way when they did DIY reserectomies and put the intake too low.... puddles of water would get sucked up ... not good

have you had it tuned since you put it on ?

Getting it tuned via Ecutek flash in a couple of weeks.

Might take it off and go back to stock before getting tuned yet!
