Australia's best cars - Liberty 3.0R came 2nd

In the PRESTIGE category, the Lexus IS250 got 751 points, and the Liberty 3.0R ($6,000 less) got 749 points, just missing out on first!

& thats why i got myself a 3.0R

should of been first imo, best bang for buck car..

plus the is250 reminds me of a camry with a bodykit, feels a bit plasticy!!

still getting use to driving our Wgn but its a nice piece of machinery...Paddle shift auto is damn impressive.

Lexus dont make wgns do they ? thats one reason the Lib should have won.

Build quality the article points out as the reason for the lexus winning..
despite a terrible rating for rear seat passengers.

3rd year in a row the IS250 has won this award , The liberty is more powerful, safer, ergonomic and better all rounder to come second..
