Has anyone ever dealt with JW Electronics in Osbourne Park?
They came highly recommended to me to fix my amplifier and it has been over a month and They haven't told me anything, just the same every time i call "We will get back to you later today" and nothing. Am very close to just going back up and taking the amp back, their customer service seems poor at the moment!

Never heard of them, might be best to go down there and show your face, people tend to move faster if you linger around watching them work haha

I would be there more often making sure they are doing it, i was told he was going to be fixing it right away, if i didn't live in mandurah then I'd be there right away, it's just a long drive up and back

Sounds dodgy! If they never get back to you, you have to reconsider doing business with them, esp when you mention you've called them on more than one occasion.
Sorry, but no matter how busy you are, you always return calls to clients/customers - esp if you've said you would.

you could also choose to take the abusive phone call option as well. Sometimes you end up getting your way or starting a massive shit fight. I use that approach when dealing with people at optus and I always end up getting my way.

Hahaha, glad I'm not the only one
I needed to replace a driver (speaker) under warranty in one of my Accusound front floor standing boxes - I called them, even removed the driver, then dropped it off to them for replacement.
TOOK 7 weeks and numerous phone calls chasing them up about it.
Girl answering the phone was doughy as hell - never called back when they said they would.
Terrible experience.

Sorry to hear about your problems.
In these cases, it's always best to keep a written record, of when you called, who you spoke to, and what you were told.
Then next time, you can say "I've called five times, on Jan 4th, Jan 9th, Jan 10th, and Jan 14th. Every time you said you would call back, and you never did..."

In my experience, use the phrases 'it's not good enough' and 'I find it very rude that noone ever calls me back' this is a polite warning before you open the launch tube door on missile silo 1 and hit the red button to initiate nuclear ass kicking!!
If that doesn't work go there and get your hardware back and don't pay any service/examination fees as those fees only apply if some one has actually done something!
As I have been in sales/customer service for 15 years I understand how important it is to to get back to people, even it is not good news and it's sad that others cant do the same!
Good luck.
J

Im not usually an angry person but this is just a joke for customer service, will be pulling the plug on the job and getting my amp back unfixed if the sale with the parting the damaged spec b goes through.

They say WA stands for "wait awhile." How does 26 years sound? A mate of mine dropped his Harmon Kardon amplifier in for repair in 1999 and has just got it back after giving up that J.W. Electronics would ever fix it, which BTW they didn't. Whilst in the "care" of J.W. Electronics they ratted his amplifier for parts presumably to fix other people's amplifiers without my mate's knowledge or consent to do so. Unfortunately one of those parts is a side panel as part of of the front faceplate which is now unobtainium as well as three of the indicator lights which are now also unobtainium. One of the printed circuit boards has been butchered by someone who clearly has no idea what they were doing and they actually fractured the PCB with the power switch and fuses on it. IMHO, not only is ratting a customer's equipment for parts to repair someone else's gear unethical, it's probably illegal too. From my understanding repairers have a legal obligation for the safe custody of your equipment whilst in their possession. In this case clearly JW Electronics did everything but take good care of it. If anyone is interested in their "handiwork" I'll post some pics.
