I had an accident at Phillip Island today :(

The back window popped out of my MGA, and smashed on the racetrack :(

(I was sliding backwards into the kitty litter when it happened)
I had to drive back home with no back window this afternoon.

Roof lining taped up to stop it flapping.

Here's an older photo, showing the back window is in three sections. The two curved side pieces popped out and hit the track, but didn't break. I retrieved them and the rubber seal once they red-flagged the session, and pulled me out of the kitty litter.

Now have to try to source a new back window

Shiyt Ric, thats bad luck.

Where would go to source a rare item like that?

What happens if you cant find one? Can it be made up?

Phil.

I sourced a front windscreen last year (just to get a roadworthy certificate), and that set me back around $500. The new one was actually made in queensland. I'll ring around on Monday to see how har a back one is to get.
No, the car is fine, except one back tyre got some of the little pebbles stuck between the bead and the rim, had to put the spare on to drive home.
I was dropping pebbles onto the road all the way home. Every bump shook another one or two loose.

I had an accident at Phillip Island today :(

For PI you came off pretty good, the Island is not a good place to leave the track.......it is usually pretty ugly.

One day you will track the Spec B wont you Ric :D

this might seem in bad taste but i've always wondered what a pro driver ala brock (was he at the wheel?) or possum feels in the after life... is it "I'm glad i died doing something that i love" or "i'm pissed that i made a mistake"?
