Vehicle servicing?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.

Vehicle servicing?

Postby SkoobyGT » Wed Sep 19, 2007 5:02 pm

Hey guys, who do you use for servicing?

I use Tom KERR in North Ryde and they seem ok.

I am getting my 85k service done and I think it's about $250 which is a right ripoff.

They stated it would be about $1350 for the 100k service. Has anyone else had the 100k service, and where did you get it done at what prices?

I am thinking of using Paul Fisher at Pulse Racing, as he is the Subaru man in the know. I think adam has used him before.

I just think $1350 is a bit much for a 100k service, especially when it's the apprentices that work on the car anyways, not an expert.

*********UPDATE***************
Just spoke to Paul from Pulse Racing, what a champion.
He spent 20 mins explaining what problems the car has with fuel economy etc, and state he will have a look at the OEM ECU and see where we can get it to run better. He states he can modify the stock ECU etc.

He said it was $990 for the 100k service which includes belts and everything, thats $400 cheaper than Subaru!!

So I booked in for Thursday 27th, so anyone can come and greet me if they are bored

Ta guys in advance

I've heard of pulse before, with some decent feedback.

Menai isn't a bit out of the way? but then again.. for $400 difference, it would be worth it..

Subaru's 100k service for all turbo models have always been around the $1250 to $1400 - thats what i was quoted almost 5years back!!!

But as you found, most other places will do it for around a grand but will use non subaru parts.

I had the 100,00km service done in June at Subaru Penrith, (the car had around 72,000km on it). Service cost $1545 including the injector service. They said it had a large build up of carbon.
