I was wondering if people could post how their km's travelled and their average fuel consumtion and see if it compares.

e.g. My car Did 460 km's based on 11.0 L/100

It will be interesting to see if all Liberty's get the same reading

Is that like till the empty light comes on? or pretty much driving on empty?

i drove for 660kms on one tank.. but thast was pretty maxed out.. i dorve it till there was no more display for k's left for the tank.. btw, my cars a 2.5 and most of the driving is on long strecthes of road wiht no lights..

Best results I have returned are 7.0L/100

That was between Melbourne and Sydney. Car thought it had a range of about 950k's per tank. Not sure if I wanted to push it.

2.5L Turbo on 98Octane. I got some good figures on a tank of E10 95 octane as well the other week.

But then there will be those on the board who will tell you that fuel economy doesn't matter.

It's hard to say with mine, most of my driving is local and I only have 2700k on it. I reckon on a run figures in the low 8's would be possible without too much drama. At the end of the day it comes down to the use of the right foot, manual or auto and traffic conditions.

What I would like to see is not how efficient the cars are but more if all cars have similiar readings .e.g if my car and your car both average 11L/100 how much did your car travel or the other way. Based on same readings should the cars go the same distance or have the same fuel average?

It seems the average is not averaged over a very long period of time... based on my experiences anyway!

Mine (2007 2.5i) averages it over the distance on the trip meter. I found this out when I alternated through the two trip meters as I happened to be looking at the average consumption display.

Of course, that might be common knowledge, but I found it relatively exciting when I worked that out.

As for my car's fuel consumption, it did 8.8 on the last and 9.4 on the one before that. I did around 650 - 700 km on a tank. It's only on its third tank of fuel now. That's on a 2.5i. I still thought the economy was pretty good. Even though it's not a GT or B spec model, I still played with the accelerator a little.

Ive done over 11000 kms in my MY07 GT Sti (manual) and I have averaged 11.4 litres per 100 kms in this distance

I average about 10.8 - 11.0 l per 100 kms...

I'll routinely get 11.2 around town.

8.4 the otherday at 110km/h cruise

28.8 at Mallala track day Monday!

good is 13 or less for the gt and 11 for the 2.0...
unfortunatly there are a lot of "traffic calming devices" between gladesville and eastwood.

Stupid BL5 has kilometres/litre reading... at least they fixed it in the BLE with litres/100km!

I generally get about 11 or so around town, and about 8-8.5 on the highway.
If I go easy on the right foot I can squeeze 750K's out of a tank on the open road.
As for town, that equates to around 500K's between fills.
