Cheers

My MY07 GT-B plays MP3 and WMA files quite well.

The only trick is to make the filename something that you will recognise when you stick the CD in because it displays the first 10 odd characters of the filename.

I have the equivilent of about 36 CD's in my 6 stacker.

The fact it doesn't scroll is frustrating.

Also it locks up if you have any other data files in there other than mp3/wma.. i had m3u files there and jpgs etc and it would just lock up etc.

You must have pretty big files roddez.

Generally you can fit 12 albums of standard 128 quality.. i run 192-226 variable lol

Pre 07 models were not MP3 compatible.

I wonder if the MY07 models being MP3 compatible = no morning skipping issues, has sumfing to do with it?

Phil.

Yeah, kinda. I increased the sampling rate on a few of the CD. Some of the classical recordings I have get too much static when you drop the rate too much.

But the modern stuff is at a reduced sampling rate.

The great thing about the 6 stack MP3 player is that you can have music for all moods. :)

Haha totally agreed. I have like the top 100 classical songs from 1732 onwards up lol.. had to cut like.. 10 songs off nearly to squeeze it onto one cd. That's a pretty high bitrate, and you need to have the volume at least 20+ to hear the softest music but damn.. is it good.

For me;

CD 1; general favourite mix of current time
CD 2; a bit of general favourite + favourite oldies rock eg Queen
CD 3; Anime compilation because i was bored
CD 4; Classical cd
CD 5; Compiliation of driving music, Fast and Furious 1-3, Korn, Burnout Revenge etc
CD 6; Initial D collections :p :p :p

lol..
