Got a stupid question, I was talking with a bunch of friends and we were trying to work out well in NSW the Sydney region is kind of split up with the eastern and western suburbs with the residents of the western suburbs called westies. In WA do they have a similar sort of thing but reversed with easties?

not a stupid question. Perth is really divided north and south of the river (the Swan River). We do also have an East/West with the Western Suburbs (West of the city/closer to the coast) being recognised as more affluent. The opposite of the east coast.

jee sum i'm insulted that you only mentioned the west and east.. :p
don't forget us northerners - bloody eastern people.
and those shire people down south :p
but then the westies can be further divided up..
and then you can also have further sub-divisions in suburbs themselves :]
