E85 Caltex rollout

The new Commodore is due for release in September, so Caltex are shipping E85 now. It is already on sale in SA and will be in Qld next week.

Price is confirmed at 34c per litre below Vortex 98.

For anyone that cares, i am going a full E85 tune in Jan, but thought i better double check my local station to see if they have E85. Low and behold, no E85 there !! This is the Preston fuel stop on 349 Plenty Road Victoria, anyhow call Caltex this morning to see what the gig was, and was informed that E85 is not suitable for the storage tank at Preston. Doh! So thus word of advice make sure you double check because the list Caltex has put out for the end of 2010 is not entirely accurate.

Hold up just got a call from Caltex soon as i hit submit, and they got their wires crossed, Preston is indeed getting E85 installed !! in Dec to mid Jan 2011 pheww!!

Ya won't catch me using anything less than 95RON unless that ethanol crap is the only fuel available, my N/A 03 XS Forester runs like a sic dog on that crap.
